Sabcobel family day brings employees together

Op zondag 28 september 2014 verzamelde het personeel van Sabcobel samen met hun partner en kinderen zich in Gent voor een heuse familiedag. De verschillende afdelingen van het koeltechniekbedrijf zorgen voor verscheidenheid onder de werknemers. Hoog tijd om hier verandering in te brengen. Dazzle Events ontwikkelde een familiedag waarbij samenhorigheid en plezier centraal stond.

On the day itself, the various teams were literally forced to work together. Dazzle Events developed a fun-filled afternoon with typical activities, such as an obstacle course, traditional games, crazy bikes… The teams rotated so that every team was able to put its best foot forward. St. Paul’s Square in Gent provided the perfect backdrop for this fun team building afternoon. Throughout the day, we also provided children’s entertainment, with a balloon artist, face painting and a bouncy castle.

After all the sports and games, there was also plenty of time to relax. Tea time, with mini pancakes (poffertjes), waffles and fruit skewers was a huge success. Participants could quench their thirst at the Ottobar, a fire truck with a built-in bar. There also were plenty of food trucks to choose from, serving anything from a slice of pizza to Thai egg rolls and Belgian chips (of course!). The day ended with an awards ceremony and the announcement of the best team.

The main goal of the event was easily achieved. Everyone had a really fun day and all these colleagues, who all work in different departments, finally got to know each other better. HR Director Christine De Nijn was quite happy with the result: “It was a fantastic day and we would definitely do it again. Thank you, Thijs, Wouter and the rest of the team!”
