ProTime - Staff weekend

How can a rapidly growing organisation recapture the team atmosphere and corporate culture of the early days? This was the question posed by Antwerp-based IT company Protime. Dazzle Events formulated a tailor-made answer and sharpened ProTime’s team spirit.

Ever since Protime was founded in 1995, the company culture and team spirit have been central. Since then, the company has experienced spectacular growth, but the original values have been preserved. Protime wanted to emphasise this to its 140-plus employees. Not an easy challenge, and therefore… right up Dazzle Events’ street.

Lifesize arcade games

Thijs Bekaert: “After a few brainstorming sessions, our proposal took shape. The themes: the nineties (period of foundation) and overcoming challenges. And at the intersection of both: the arcade games of yesteryear. Under the motto ‘Leveling up since 1995’, we organised a weekend event at a unique location: the Spreeuwelse Heide in the southern Netherlands.”

On Saturday morning, all employees were welcomed, followed by the plenary part with explanations of achievements and objectives. After lunch, the team-building activities got underway. Dazzle Events worked out numerous oldskool games on a life-size scale: table football, Pacman, Mario, etc. Participants regularly changed teams to foster mutual bonding. For each challenge overcome, they received balloons, which were all released together at the end. Consequently, the atmosphere was immediately right for the barbecue and after-party. Everyone spent the night on site and breakfast on Sunday morning concluded a successful weekend.

Creative and involved

Jonas Van Herck (People & culture manager Protime): “The Dazzle team sensed perfectly what we were after. They came up with a creative concept, which they worked out down to the smallest details. All our employees reacted very enthusiastically. For us, this set-up was 100% successful.”
