To commemorate the Battle of Messines (100 years ago) the Irish government, for the second time, fully entrusted Dazzle Events with the organisation of this nationally and internationally acclaimed event taking place in four different locations in the Westhoek region.
About 800 war veterans and soldiers, their next of kin and journalists were invited for the commemoration service, sadly battling some stormy weather. Apart from the obvious security measures, logistics proved a challenging priority as well. The event was attended by high dignitaries, namely Prince William, Princess Astrid and Enda Kenny, prime minister of Ireland. Together with the security firms, Dazzle Events again delivered an obstacle-free result.
Police and security carefully swept the several sites, screened the busses and checked the guests with a metal detector before entering the busses. 34 security agents and numerous (military) police officers kept an eye out during the event. For this particular occasion, Dazzle Events relied on years of experience in security and event logistics. Bringing the correct partners together allowed Dazzle Events to remain flexible at all times and turn this event into an unforgettable and serene happening.
