Party like it's 1999

Saturday night, 14 March 2015. Even on the train, the dress code is classy & stylish. In Ghent, ladies in gala dresses and men in tailored suits step on. Their mood: festive! Their destination: Expo Waregem!

Even at its second edition, Party like it’s 1999! in Waregem is already a household name. That’s how it goes when enterprising ladies invite Dazzle Events to organise a party together. What started as an idea for a class reunion has grown into a grand party and networking event, with 400 VIPs and 1,250 visitors.

An event like Party like it’s 1999! requires tight organisation. With a walking dinner, a private concert, cabaret shows and performances by Discobar Galaxy, among others, this splashing party posed a logistical challenge. Dazzle Events assisted organiser Leen Neirynck in this respect: “Among other things, Dazzle took care of the catering and the contacts with brewers and suppliers. One less worry for us”.

Dazzle Events did more than just provide food and drink. Leen is wildly enthusiastic about our creative approach. “The most punishing thing was Dazzle’s input into the design of the space. The people at Dazzle took this on with great expertise. They transformed the Expo’s ‘bunker’ into a stunning backdrop. The sound and lighting got their full attention. This kind of thing completes the party”.

Party like it’s 1999! inspires

Leen has charity in mind with Party like it’s 1999! The proceeds of this edition will go to vzw Victor, a home support service that supports parents of children with autism, and/or persons with autism. We think this is an inspiring thought…
